Husky - getting enough food?

Question
Hi.  My boy, Lou, is a 1 year old (as of yesterday) Sibe.  He seems to be on the large size for the breed - taller than most (at LEAST 23 inches) and about 58-60 lbs.  I'm a bit worried because he ALWAYS seems hungry.  He looks and feels very healthy - not too thin, but good tuck, ribs are not visible, but if you push down lightly on his sides, you can feel them (his coat isn't very thick right now b/c he just finished blowing it).  He seems atypical for the breed in that he always wants more food.  Always.  Right now we feed him 1.75 cups, 2 times per day (3.5 total) of Hill's Prescription Diet i/d (only food that doesn't upset his stomach, we've tried a dozen).  He also gets 1 or 2 tbsp of natural peanut butter, almost daily, and a marrow bone once a week.  I'm thinking about increasing his food by 1/2 or 1 cup per day.  Other than increasing his food and watching for weight gain, is there any way to tell if he needs more food or just happens to be a Husky who eats like a Labrador?

Answer
Since that food is the only thing that won't upset his tummy (have you tries Canidae lamb and rice?) You will have to see if your dog will eat some vegetables and fruits (not kidding try feeding him slices of apples and mix peas and green beans into his food.) Also try giving him a raw beef Patti at each feeding and a vitamin. He is lacking in his dietary needs so he is trying to eat more so his body can get it. Canned pumpkin can help with the diareah, give him a can when he gets it.
