digging under fence

Question
I have 3 Huskies, I recently moved into a new house, here is my problem. All three have decided to dig out on a daily basis, sometimes twice a day. They are chipped and wear many tags with their names and contact #'s. Thank god for great animal loving neighbors who keep an eye out for them. What can I do to stop this, and why all of a sudden are they doing this? Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer
Why are they doing this - probably just because they are Siberians and have decided (most likely from learning from one of them) that this is a fun activity.

YOur best bet - deter digging with an electrical fence.  Not necessarily radio fences, but rather an electrical hot wire (as in cattle fences).  Mule Hollow Fence Supply has a pet grade charger and a relatively cheap set up.  I picked up enough wire and insulators to run about 1/4 mile of fence (and I needed about 1/3 of that!) for less than $90.  After one or two shocks and the dogs won't be digging out.

Check into that and they can help you with the specifics of the design, but I find that works the best.  Feel free to write back if you have additional questions.
