Barking

Question
My 5 year old husky has gotten very mouthy in the last few weeks. I rescued her at 4 months old and she didn't bark at all (previous owner would duct tape her snout shut to keep her quiet). I got her to speak again and trained her to bark at the door when she needs out. We moved from a country residence where she had 30 feet of lead to a townhouse where she only has 10 feet. I walk her at least 2 a day. In the last month or so when my boyfriend and I are in the same room she barks constantly. I will leave the room and take her with me to get her to quiet down. I'm wondering if she's depressed? Have you heard of this before?

Answer
She is using her bark to get your attention. She doesn't want you giving it to your boyfreind, she is jelous. The only way to make her stop it is to ignore her when she barks. When she is quiet give her attention. She found out she gets her way by barking.
