my huskys weight

Question
My husky is 6 months old and weighs 41 lb he has lots of energy and a healthy coat. He has been suffering from diarrhea on and off since 2 months old, he has been in and out of the vets, they have given us pro biotics, chicken and rice diet, had blood and stool samples tested. All tests came back clear and medication and food didn't do anything. Our vet now says he is looking under weight and we need to look at his diet. He has a healthy appetite and eats 3 meals a day 150g each meal of Burns dried food which is more than the supplier recommends for the dogs size. Do you have any suggestions or ideas on what we should be doing?

Answer
It's tough to say, but I would recommend supplementing the dog's diet with meat - raw beef is usually good, although lightly cooked is fine too.  The additional fat and protein is good for the dog, and actually, many sled dogs have had issues with loose stools and this has fixed them.  Try the additional supplements and let me know how that goes.

I would recommend finding an 80-85% lean ground beef from a good butcher shop and adding 1 heaping tablespoon per feeding.
