Question
My daughter has a 2 year old Siberian Husky. We love him dearly but he will not leave one of our 2 Maine Coon cats alone, EVER! Some times he does hurt him. It is a constant battle with him. Please help us. He only bothers the one cat.

Answer
Dear Pat,
You will not really want to hear my advice on this one I think. I too have had this problem, and it did not end well I hate to say. These dogs have a huge hunting instinct, and although good with people and children they are not to be trusted around small pets. Mine did the same thing with my cats too and despite my best efforts they eventually killed both my cats. This is what will happen at some point in all probability. I do not think it is someting you can teach the husky either it is acting on pure instinct. The only way you can guarentee your cats safety is to keep them segregated at all times, or I hate to say it find a home for either the husky or the cats. Sorry I could not help you more but I too have survived this problem but sadly my cats did not. I would hate for it to happen to any one else.
Good luck with a difficult problem Faye and Husky Crew.
