Question
my 13 week old sibe husky is always nipping at my hands when i pet him. he also makes it very hard for me to brush him with this nipping and when i walk him when he gets playful he nips at the calf on my leg. is this normal behaviour for sibes or is there something i can do to stop him biting? I was also wondering how many kgs should he weigh when he is fully grown? thank you in advance. john.

Answer
Nipping is pretty normal. To curve it you want to give him lots of appropriate things to chew on (he is teething at this age and that could be why) When my pups nip me when I am brushing them I don't stop but continue brushing while I grab their muzzle with my other and and firmly (I do not shout or raise my voice) say no. I do not pause because the dog might then nip to get me to stop. Make sure you are not pulling on mats or anything that could be hurting them also. Generally I take them to a groomer (a self wash) and do my dogs myself with a high powered blower, this way they do not get hurt by a brush pulling the hair. This is normal nipping and if you treat it with indifference it will go away on its own after the puppy teeth fall out.

Normal weight for a Male Siberian is
45 lb = 20.4116 kg
To
55 lb = 24.9475 kg

They can weigh a little more or less depending on their frame, height and muscle build.
Here is a video on grooming, the blower makes the grooming painless.
