Destroying bedding

Question
Hello,
I have 2 Huskies, a male who is 2 & a female who is 3. They are both rescue dogs & I've had the male for nearly 2 years, the female for 1.5 years. They are both extremely good around the house except when I leave them alone when they will open the fridge & counter surf. In the past week and a half the female has destroyed both dog beds during the evening/night.I am at a total loss regarding the cause of this as she doesn't even destroy her toys. Please advise. Thanks

Answer
They are bored in the house. I would Crate train, or put up gaits and such to limit the areas they can go in the house. I would highly suggest crate training, and leaving them with a KONG when you are gone. If they where shut outside all day they would be climbing the fence to find something to do. Siberians are very intelligent because of this same old same old day in and out will cause them to get bored and try things they do not normally do just to have some fun.

Here is a link I would try teaching them Treasure hunt so you can hide Kongs and such in your house when you are gone. But they will get bored with this game in a week or 2 and return to their bad behavior, this is why I suggest crate training.
