Switching to Raw Diet

Question
Hello,
I have 3 dogs. Two are Huskies, 5 month old male and 1 year old female, and a Husky/German Shepard female mix, 1 year and 4 months. I want to switch them to a Raw Food Diet. Do I need to slowly switch there food as if changing regular dog food? I do feed them a higher end dog food, but I periodically give them meat and veggies and some scraps with it, nothing fried.

Thanks for your time.

Answer
I have always heard that you do not start a dog on a raw diet till at least the age of 2. Their immune systems cannot handle the amount of salmonella and e-coli in the meat giving them diarrhea and making them vomit quite often. If you switch to a raw diet get a slow cooker and slow cook every meal that way the bones are soft and palatable ant the nutrition of the food isn't ruined to much. But still mix it with a high quality kibble.
