Too old ?

Question
We adopted Molly a month ago. She is about 8 months old and had been very sweet and gentle. We just got her spade a week ago and now she seems to almost be stalking our 2.5 year old son. Have you ever heard of a situation like this and do you think this can be corrected. Our son really loves her and we would hate to lose her.

Dear Ron,
I do not think your unusual situation is due to the fact you have spayed your girl, and 8 months is certainally not considered old to do so. I spayed one of my girls at 6 years old and noticed no change in her Character at all. Perhaps there is something your young son is doing inadvertantly to cause her to act in this disturbing manner. Huskies are usually great with kids even babies, but having said this they have a huge hunt instinct like a wolf. Also it is never a good idea to leave children unsupervised with a dog any dog. Vigilance is always the best prevention.
