Question
My two female huskies (same litter) have for the most part gotten along until
this past week.  One went into heat  and since then its been a nightmare.  She
constantly is beating up on the other one.  Unprovoked, no bones or food
involved just at her all the time.  The poor dog is terrified of her sister and
won't be in the same room as her, go outside with her and if she walks by she
runs to me whimpering.  I'm close to getting rid of the aggressor,  feel bad, I
love them equally and never had to separate any dogs I've had..  Help!!

Answer
Get them both spayed if you want to fix this problem. When they go into heat they get crabby and have mood swings just like people do. When they come out of heat they should be back to normal. But so this doesn't happen again I would get both spayed. That way they don't have hormonal mood swings. Even if you only fix the aggressor it won't help because a domanat bitch will always beat up on the omega bitch. Since the other one is the omega, spaying both of them is the only option.
