Puppy has long hair

Question
I have a 5 month old siberian husky AKC, I saw both parents and they both looked normal.  My question is do huskies have a puppy coat that they shed or will my puppy end up having the wooly coat in the end?  There is excessive ammount of hair around his ears and face.  Is there anything i should be worried about?  I can send a picture if you'd like.

Answer
Feel free to send a picture to me - mwd0818@yahoo.com.  Sibes don't usually change their coats out, although they do age with them a little bit.  However, if you have a "wooly" sibe, it probably won't change.  There is no real problem with this type of coat although it is a disqualification according to the SHCA and AKC for conformation.  The only reason it is a DQ though is that it poses a working liability for the dog as it can get weighted down with the coat freezing and forming ice.  There is no real medical problem to worry about if it is a wooly Sibe for companion/pet purposes.
