QuestionWe have a 9 year old female puppy and we are wanting to get a male pup. We are looking at several options of age. One being 8 weeks old and the other is already 11 weeks old. Does this make a big difference in pups that are going to be house trained etc.. I also have 2 cats so I want to makesure I am making the right decision
AnswerEither should be fine really. I assume that either puppy has been socialized with it's littermates, so you should be good there. If you have cats, the younger the dog socializes with the cats the better, so there might be a slight advantage to the 11 week old, but really, you've sitll got a few weeks left in the early socialization cycle which ends around 15 weeks . . . So, I'd go with the "calmer" one . . . if there is one :p
