Question

diesel
I have a seven and a half month old Siberian husky. He is not eating very much. About one cup a day. He is on acana dog food. He weighs fifty pounds. Should i try a different dog food and what kind? Is his weight ok? I am a little worried.
Thank-you

Answer
Actually, his weight sounds good for a 7.5 month old and the amount even seems fine.  Keep in mind that Sibes are very efficient eaters and will often eat less than a third of the "recommended" amount that the bag will say.  Keep an eye on his weight and activity level, and you should be alright.  From looking at him, he appears to be a mix of some sort, but appears to be quite healthy.  Also, it's not uncommon for dogs to hit awkward stages growing up as well and appear a little lanky until they bulk up some.  However, Diesel looks good.
