Question
I just wondered if it was ok to give huskies bread/toast or if that is similar to cereals and so bad for them? Also wondered what it is in cereals that is bad for them? Could you also tell me which bones would be best for them as i have heard that they may choke on chicken bones yet they are best eating fish and poultry and not beef. Is it ok for them to eat mushrooms and mushroom derivatives such as quorn as im vegetarian so eat this a lot myself. Also which fruit and vegetables are best to give them? Are there any which are bad?

Answer
I do not see a problem feeding bread/toast to dogs.  The reason why they say cereal is bad is that it contain corn ingredient.  Corn is just hard to digest, so they tell you not to feed it to dogs.  The only bones that are good for dogs are knuckle bones.  Do not feed them chicken bones because what you heard is true.  I do not see a problem with the mushrooms, so go a head, and feed them to your husky.  As for fruit, do not feed them grapes, peaches, or raisins.  Also, do not feed them large amount of broccoli.  I have enclosed a couple of websites here.  This just gives you a list of foods not to feed your dog and why.  I hope you find all the answers you need here on the type of foods not to feed your dog.  If you have any other, questions please ask.

Thank you,
Laura
