11 mth old husky wont eat

Question
Hi Laura
I've got a 11 mth old sibe husky - she refused to eat. I used to feed her kibbles (Hill's science plan) and she has refused to eat any of it. I've recently switched to Eukanuba but she still refuses after the first feed. Now i've got to mix wet food to the kibbles - she normally eats 1/4 cup or sometimes 2 mouthfuls. The vet can't seem to find anything wrong with her. Her stool seems normal and she is just as active. But she is losing a bit of weight because of her eating habits. She used to be 16.5 kgs now she weighs about 15.8kg. What can I do?

Answer
Hi Jazzlyn,

Well huskies don't eat as much as other dogs, but since she is losing weight I am a little concerned.  Is she stressed out or going through a big chance with the environment.  Dogs usually love wet food and never passes that up.  I would try some cooked hamburger and white rice for a couple of days.  If she doesn't eat that then take her back into the vet.  Also switching to a Raw food diet might be a good idea.  I am sending a couple of websites to look over on raw food diet.

If you have anymore questions please ask.
