Some questions on huskies

Question
I have an 8th month old siberian husky. He has some behaviors which worry me. If my boyfriend and i are watching tv sometimes he will get violent and strike at us like he wants to bite us and he will give a whiny bark. I know he thinks he is an alpha male (which is funny considering he was the runt in his litter but now is big) but i want to stop this. He might think of it as a game since his tail is always wagging when he does it. He also will be very nice to new people he sees licking them and being sweet but than after a while will start bitting them too. He has a serious bitting problem where he likes to mouth someones hand or just chew and i wanted to know if you knew of any ways to fix it. If he gets locked in his room if hes in trouble for bitting he will tear up the carpet and put holes in it. I was also concerned about his size he is 49 pounds at almost 9 months and i was wondering if that was right for his age. I read on the website about feeding and you should fill the bowl up to 15 minutes. MY dog has a big appetite and we feed him wet food twice a day 2 cans a day. I was wondering if that was too much food to give him because we use to fine him half a can a day in the morning with dry food and at night but he always finishes his food extremely fast in a minute or less and always seems to be hungry. He isn't fixed and i was wondering if fixing him would make him less agressive.

Thanks,

Kate

Answer
Your puppy isn't being aggressive. He is playing. To make him stop pay him no attention, in fact walk up and leave him when he does this. A Siberian doesn't mature till they are 3 years old so they will be a giant puppy till then (nipping chewing). Get him a crate, Siberians are destructive when they are bored or have to much energy. Getting them proper things to chew on helps redirect the chewing.
49lbs is a couple pounds to large but it is average for a huskies size, they aren't malamutes. A full grown Siberian, at full muscle mass (at about 4 years of age) should weigh 55 lbs at the most.
About the food he seems to have a fast metabolism, as long as he isn't overweight keep on feeding him. (you should be able to feel his ribs with little to no pressure). You should try supplementing his food with vitamins usually they gobble because they aren't getting the proper nutrition in the food so they try and eat more to get the nutrition that they need but taking in extra calories that they do  not.
Neutering won't change a dogs personality, I have never seen any proof of that. My most aggressive male is my fixed one.
Any more questions please ask.
