Question

Tikkani My Husky is shedding on her lower belly, and itching all the time. I have checked her for bugs and see none. She is however blowing coat at the moment. Also her eyes are red and she isn't sleeping well at night, but more during the day....Can huskies have allergies? She acts normal besides these facts. Should I make an emergency vet appointment or does this sound normal?

She is a rescue
We just moved from NY to IL 8 months ago so this is her first fall season here

Dogs can most definitely have allergies, and the symptoms from your description sound like they could be. My suggestion is to take her in, but I wouldn't make it an emergency visit. Stop in, and the vet might be able to suggest some anti-histamines or ointments to help out. That's probably the most reasonable and best course of action.
