Scared husky puppy

I have an 11 month old female husky.  I got her when she was 8 weeks old, and she has been terrified of my dad since I got her.  At first she was afraid of all men, but she has warmed up to most, but still cowers from my dad.  He has never been aggressive or mean to her in any way.  The only thing I can think of is that he resembles someone who treated her badly early on.  Any tips for helping her get over her fear?

Your best bets are obedience training (preferably by someone else) which helps builds the dog's confidence, and then frequent positive interaction from your father with the dog.  Generally, things like giving the dog treats, feeding it, etc. all help establish your father as a positive factor in the dog's life and should be worked in to slowly and consistently.  Eventually, things like walks or play time should involve him as well.
