Huskies in winter

Question
Hi there.  We've just gone through the long process of building a nice big dog run for our husky (and the husky to come in a few months).  It's about 35' x 8'.  Anyway we do plan on leaving them outside when we work during the day as opposed to in a kennel all day.

During the winter months the water we leave outside will presumably freeze.  How do you people generally get around this?  And don't worry there'll be a dog house with some straw in it for them.

Answer
A lot of pet stores make heated bowls to help get around this.  Also, insulating the bowls and keeping a smaller surface area should help as well.  I know a lot of people that use buckets in the dog house.  The bucket reduces the surface area of the water that is exposed to the air, and therefore insulates it from completely freezing.  Although it completely depends on where you live and how cold it gets.
