Question

sibe or mal?
I have recently rescued a husky and have had him for 4 weeks now.he is 18 months old and slightly under weight.he weighs just over 22kls.When i got he was being fed twice a day on natures menu puppy meat and james well beloved kibble along with minced chicken and i have kept him on this diet, but unfortunately whilst my friend looked after him for a day she gave him her dogs food which was Chubb meat and i have had problems ever since. He has had diarrhoea ever since and occasionally is being sick. Its been 10 days now and he still has soft stools but the sickness has subsided.Whilst he has been ill i have been feeding him chicken and rice and gradually adding his normal food back in to no avail.he is still on antibiotics from the vet and has two left what can i do to help him? ALSO....
Ever since i rescued him he keeps eating grass? can you help ? and i have also attached a photo of him as ive been told he is a sibe but people have said he looks more like a malamute. What do you think?

Answer
Well, first of all, he definitely looks like a Sibe.  As for his diet, I would stick to the chicken and rice and a little bit of kibble until his stools firm back up.  After that, I would begin to add a little more meat, but I would go for higher fat meat (maybe ground beef instead of minced chicken).  He actually looks quite healthy for an 18 month old, and I wouldn't think he needs to gain much more than a couple of pounds.  As for the grass . . . that's one I've never figured out . . .  they just do that sometimes . . . :)
