Question
hi i havea siberian husky female and she enters the heat cycle last wednsday and i want to know at which date shea will become ready to bread . also i have a male dog and i want to knowe if he can protect her from foriegn dogs ... and how i can be sure that only my male will mate with her

Answer
Before you Breed them I hope you have taken them in to get their CERF (eyes) and OFA (hips) done to be sure they are healthy genetic stock that should be bred (cataracts are the #1 problem in Siberians since not many people bother to get their eyes done).
You male might not be able to stop another male from breeding with her. So I wouldn't rely on that. When you can't watch her I would have her inside with you away from any male dog.

I cannot tell you when She will be receptive to breeding, since it varies from female to female. I have a few that are receptive 6-9 days, 1 that won't breed till day 26 and one that will go between 12 and 15 days. To be sure take her to your vet and have a progesterone test done if you are unsure.
