QuestionMy family and I are planning to adopt a English Bulldog puppy in the near furtutre. And, I have been researching dog foods and came across Evo by Innova which is an all stage line high protien, low carb, and no grain. Small bites contain 42% protien and 22% fat. Is this OK for a puppy or is puppy food better? And, should you soak the food with water? Thanks for you assistance.
AnswerThis food is way too high in both protein and fat for a Bulldog puppy. You need something around 28% protein and 10-12% fat. You don't want them to grow too fast and stress their joints. Slow growth is good for Bulldogs. Soaking food shouldn't be necessary, just nice clean water in a separate bowl should be fine.
