Adopting an elderly bulldog

I am considering adopting a 10 year old bulldog; could you help me with questions to ask the current owner?  I know that 10 is old for a Bulldog; do you have any advice for me?

Why in the world would someone give up a dog they've had for 10 years? If this home has been short term, I would be very sceptical. There may be problems these people don't care to deal with.

Get the dogs medical records for sure and if possible, use the same vet he's used to.

It's rare that Bulldogs reach 10 years of age. If the dog is healthy and you're willing to give him a great home, by all means, bravo to you!
