My bull terrier is cleaning her feet very often

Question
Hello, My bull terrier Kenda and I recently moved into a house with a large back yard.  Previously she was living in a town home.  Although now she is still an inside dog she now spends more time playing outside than she did before.  However I have noticed that she has started to lick her front paws clean several times a day.  When she didn't have the yard she didn't do this.  I was wondering if maybe she was getting some sort of infection, although her paws appear normal, or if she simply had very good paw hygiene and I never realized because she didn't spend as much time outside before.

Answer
It very well could be a hygiene issue but it could also be something she's picking up from the lawn. Some type of weed killer or lawn fertilizer might be the problem.  See if you can do a little detective work because if it is a chemical and it's burning her feet, you don't want her licking it all the time.
