Question
QUESTION: Hello, I have a question about my lil bully.  We have had her for 3 months now.  She is about 6 months old.  Lately, she has had terrible diarrhea, very stinky stuff, and it has been streaked with blood and mucous.  I have no idea why this is happening.  We switched her food slowly about 2 months ago to Diamond lamb and rice, because she was having terrible gas and loose stool.  It helped a bit at first, but she has never had "normal" poop.  I chalked the first month up to nerves in a new home.  We make sure to not give her any table foods or anything.  She is very playful, and nice and chunky, but this poop issue is driving me bonkers.  I hate having to pick up her poop in the yard, as it just smears everywhere.  She can't hold her poop all night because of it, and it is giving us a little issue with potty training since she just can't hold it for and long period of time.  Is there anything I can do for her to help firm up her stool?  I am guessing the slight blood is from irritated bowels from the runny poop for so long.  I am hoping you have something that I haven't thought of to help her out.  Thanks so much!!!

I would love to see you try the Acidophalus and the NuVET -

As for the Probiotic - Acidophalus is low cost - about 15.00 or less for a bottle.

Hello Monica and little bullie girl.  If my suggestions don't help then talk to your vet about this... I am hoping it is just a case of Yeast and colitis..
1.  Give here some metamucil cookies - 1 per day - get the apple cookie wafer that comes in 2 packs ( box of ?10 and packaged in twos).
This will give here some bulk in her stool.

2. How about feeding her your food and some SoJo each day - give here one meal per day of Home cooking with sojo ...GET the grain-free green bag.
SoJo is sold all over the world and free delivery to any usa door step - see here:
http://www.sojos.com/index.aspx?affiliate=petnurse

3.  Place this bullie kid onto "NuVET" supplements - one wafer per day will help her build up the immune system - great for Digestion and gas!! - helps the skin and coat - protects Joints.

Give here 1 1/2 NuVET per day for the first 2 weeks and then go to just 1 NuVET wafer per day -
Call them today and they will get it right out to you!!!

About .60 CENTS per day for this Natural Canine Supplement - only sold by vets and some kennels - Call the manufacturer...

4.  Place her onto 1 billion CFUs of Acidophalus - this will get rid of any excess yeast and balance out her gut!
GREAT product for humans and pets ....
I would give her 1 per day for 1 month...

OK, I sure hope this all helps -

QUESTION: Ok, so my hubby ended up taking her to the Dr, as she suddenly lost her appetite, and started vomiting.  They tested her, and said she is positive for Giardia.  They want to put her on a medicine.  I am reading different opinions on it, and was wondering your input for it?

Answer
HOW is our girl doing now?
Hello again - Yes, the medicine they put her on Albion? is common for giardia.
Don't worry it is a very common problem with pups!
Yes, give her the meds from the Vet and see if you can pick up some Acidophalus 1 Billion CFUs ( Probiotic ) - as she need this now more then ever.

** Her intestines are full of the gardia and the Probiotic will help to balance out the bad bacteria and the good bacteria.
The NuVET Supplement will also help her to re-build a Weak immune system.
That Gardia can be awful to get rid of!  Glad your vet tested her for it.

Good luck !!!  Boy, I bet the poops do smell bad.....
