Glucosamine

Question
Hi there, I am putting my nine month old bulldog on Glucosamine sulphate that I bought from costco. She is showing signs of early hip displasia and I was told that before she has the surgery (they are telling me to get the surgery when I see discomfort) to get her on this. My question is how much should I be giving her!! She is about 47-50 pounds. I have the  human grade Glucosamine sulfate in 500 mg capsuls. One person told me to feed her two pills twice and day for two weeks and then cut it down to one pill twice a day. Please let me know! Thank you

Your dog is so young - with good food and supplements you may be able to stabilize the adverse situation you are in.

Always get a second opinion before a surgery like this.
