Possible Pregnant Bulldog!?

Question
About three weeks ago my husband and I adopted a female english bulldog
who the vet told us is about a year and three months old. When we got her it
was obvious she had been poorly taken care of and so we then took her to
the vet. Upon that visit they told us her skin problems were a result of a bad
skin allergy and that she was also heart worm positive. He told us he would
like to get her healthy before starting heartworm treatment and over the past
two weeks she has then put on about 10 pounds, throws up daily (if not a few
times), shows signs of agression towards other dogs, her nipples are inlarged
(the vet told us that it looked like she was on the end of her heat cycle when
we took her in) and a few others. My husband seems to think shes pregnant
because of her weight gain and rock hard belly but I seem to think it might
just be because of the steriod they put her on for her skin. We are kinda at
wits end and after her vomiting twice tonite... and her increased lethargic
behavior we were wondering if there is any cause for alarm to rush back to
the vet or is it just possible shes pregnant?

Oh Amber - poor kid! She is sure lucky to have you guys to take her in!
The vet can do blood test to see if she is pregnant.  The swelling is very normal for a heat cycle.
What are you feeding her ( brand) and what did the vet give you for her skin?
I can help you with foods and supplements.
Let me know a little more and I can help.

Thanks for the question!
