Question
QUESTION: Hi,  I have a female OEB (Misia) that is about to turn 1 this month.  I just noticed that in the last month or so I could feel her left side hip popping when she walks.  It is only on her left side.  I have not noticed her walking or running funny.  Could you let me know what you think this may be.  I will be visiting our vet soon but wanted some advise now.

Thank you

ANSWER: Hi - Mary ~~~  Your girl, Misia, may have a slight hip dysplasia problem developing.  Many times this can be taken care with Supplements.
After you see the vet.... contact me and we can talk diet and supplements:

QUESTION: I am feeding her Chicken Soup Puppy and California Natural Chicken Puppy.  Could you recommend supplements at this time and what we can do.  Is there a better food we should be feeding her?  She does have difficulty with stairs and is reluctant to go up and down them.  She does move with both legs in unison.  She does not seem to be in pain and still likes a good run around with other dogs at the dog park and doesn't stop until we leave. Thank you...

ANSWER: Hi Mary - The food you are feeding ( chicken soup) is one of my favorites!!!! I would get rid of the Calif Natural Puppy and start mixing the Chicken Soup / Adult with the Chicken soup / PUPPY-
Do a 50:50 mix for the next 3 months and then go to 100% Adult.
( let you vet know you are taking supplements ....)

Also, with good supplements, many Dogs can avoid any surgery.

QUESTION: I see alot of recommendations for Dr. Fosters hip supplements..What is your opinion on that.  Thank you so much for all the recommendations.  I will be sure to be ordering some of the Nuvet Plus and Nujoint Plus soon.  She will be going to the vet next week to get checked and we will go from there.

Answer
Well, the Dr. Foster's and Smith have very poor ingredients in the Dog food they sell.  JUST because of that reason, I would never buy any of the supplements or hip products from them.
POOR ingredeints will not do much good for your  pets...

YES, I would love to see your baby on the NuVET-
They are in the office now ( 8-4 Calif time zone)

BEST wishes!
YOU are catching this early... good job
