keeps rolling in his crate and digging in it

our 8 month old bulldog keeps rolling in his crate and also digging in it like as if he is digging in dirt.why does he do it? he has been doing it lately and it seems funny but he has never done it before. do you know what it is?

Answer
It may be that he's hot and is trying to dig a hole to cool off. If you have something in his crate like a blanket, take it out and let him sleep on the bare pan. Mine all sleep this way.

It may also be that he's getting too big for the crate that he's in and he can't get comfortable.
