Adult English Bulldog Potty Frequency

Question
I'm thinking of adopting an English bulldog rescue (probably a couple of years old).  Assuming the dog will be potty trained already, how long can I realistically leave the dog inside before having to let it out without being cruel?  I live alone, and during the week I'm gone from the house for work for almost 12 hours (including commute) - weekends wouldn't be a problem.  Before I go ahead and get a bulldog, I'm wondering if my long work days would only be cruel to the dog or if it can manage just fine being let out before I leave for work and then not until I get home again.  Thanks for the help!

Answer
Rescues usually come with their own set of "issues". Personally, I think it is unfair to leave any dog alone for 12 hours a day without human interaction. It would be particularly tenuous leaving a strange dog that long in your house unattended.

You might want to reconsider.
