Question
QUESTION: we are a family of 4 with 2 young boys.we have a 5yrs.old male dogue de bordeaux (submissive and not desexed)diagnosed with epilepsy(phenobarb)we rescued a british bulldog (2yrs old & desexed) 2 months ago from a family guy who rescued this dog from the pound who suffered from being leashed all day at the backyard.
first month bulldog lived indoor with us while the dogue lives outside all his life.due to his cherry eye surgey.after the bulldogs recovered his operation he now lives with the dogue at the backyard 2 weeks later bulldog is now showing aggression towards the dogue.it has come to the point where my dogue fought back.bulldog does it in pattern after meal, after he attempts to go inthe house & when we have visitors.any thoughts, advise, anything please...help

ANSWER: This is typical male Bulldog behavior. At least you are aware of what sets him off. You can try to defuse these situations by separating the two when you know there's going to be a problem or keeping one or the other crated when there is a situation that will start a fight.

My best suggestion is to seek out a good home for the  Bulldog before one of your kids gets in the middle of a dog fight.

QUESTION: they are both great with people even the bulldog.my dogue now learnt to put the bulldog down on a submissive position without attack.is there another way?what if i have the bulldog live indoor with us,will that make the bullldog more dominant.
we rescued the bulldog from the pound,it would be heartbreaking to put him back in there.

Answer
This Bulldog has been passed around and in the pound already. There was a reason he was there in the first place obviously. Some of these dogs simply have to be in a one dog household. You apparently have no background on the dog so it's difficult to assume what might work or not with him.

Again, these are two male dogs. Eventually someone is going to get hurt.
