Bulldogs keep fighting.

Question
Have two female bulldogs which we've had from puppies who are 95% of the time best of friends. They sleep together, play together and clean each other. Problem is that one, the younger, will suddenly attack the other. We put her outside every time she does it but we would rather stop her from doing it. We can sometimes spot when she is about to attack as she goes very rigid and cannot be distracted. The attacks happen randomly. There appears to be no reason as she sometimes does it when the other is asleep, although the majority of the time it is when we are eating at the table. We believe it is attention seeking and/or trying to display dominance as she also humps peoples legs and the other girl dog.
Any help would be much appreciated.
John.

Answer
John,

This is common with bulldogs, especially two girls.  Have they both been spayed?  If not that would help.

If they have already been spayed, I don't think there is anything more you can do.  Your younger dog has got it in her head that she needs to prove herself and she will most likely continue.  She may be a dog that needs to be an only child.
