My EBD has a little bit of blood in his stool

Hi, I just got an EBD, and was told that a little bit of blood in the stool is normal due to vessels popping. I was wondering what you think, please let me know.

Hi Kelly:
The anal glands may need a little cleaning... 99% of the time there should be no blood at all.  If it does happen many times it means that the anal glads are a little over due for expressing.

Your vet or groomer can teach you how to do this.  If you don't want to do this, then you can just have the vet express the glads a few times per year.

If you just see a few little dots of blood, then I wouldn't worry.

Make sure your baby has plenty of fiber in the diet.  You can place canned pumpkin in the food 2-3 x per WEEK.  This will help a bunch.
Please buy the canned pumpkin with no sugar added.
