English Bulldogs:Yeast,- Yes,- NuVET and a Probiotic......

Question
I have TWO English Bulldogs who are siblings and will be 2 years old at the end of May 2009.
BOTH have been neutered at the age of 15weeks and are fully up to date on all vaccinations; the vet I am taking them to seems very experienced with the breed and their medical conditions and has owned English Bulldogs for roughly 20 years.
Currently BOTH boys are being fed Wellness Core Original and occassionaly will receive any of the following moreso as "treats":
xHome-cooked food (Chicken/Pasta)
xPlain Yogurt
xWellness Wellbars with crunchy peanuts and honey
xNewmans Own Organic premium dog treats-Chicken
xHBH No Grainers 100% all natural treats-Fish

BOTH ARE HAVING SIMILAR MEDICAL ISSUES which have appeared out of nowhere at about 6 months of age...to date I am  financially draining me without either of my boys receiving LITTLE/IF ANY OVERALL IMPROVEMENT despite their numerous vettings!

1)My first male is suffering year round from environmental allergies.
a)between the paws digits are reddened constantly with mainly the front feet being inflicted-results in his incessant chewing of the paws until he typically begins to gag. This is a daily occurance from pretty much the time he wakes, until the time he falls asleep; unless he's busy fighting with brother over toys/couches/laps.
b)less frequently his ears become affected and will also redden-results in his scratching of the inside of his ears until they bleed.
c)I have also come to notice a black wax in his ears which I have been told is not ear mites, but suggested to cleanse the ears weekly with a over the counter solution.
-->To date this dog has been treated with all of the following:
*Allergy Injections
*Allergy Tabs-Chlor-Phen 4mg
*Prednisone-5Mg tab
*Mometax-7.5 Gm Ear Drops
*Depo Medrol Injections
*Clomipramine
*Hydrocortisone Spray with aloe
*Hydrocortison Cream-Prescription strength
*Neosporin-to assist in healing the ears when scabbed
*Excel Ear Cleansing Liquid
*No chew products such as bitter apple-Note that he likes the taste of them, proving them worthless
*Oatmeal Bath; Medicated Bath given by vet for allergies
<at first when receiving the injections and prednisone he was getting what I would consider moderate relief, however currently it seems that nothing is provide relief for this poor dog>

2)My other male is suffering from Chronic Yeast Infection. a)solely afflicting this dogs ears-results in the inside of his ears being constantly smelly and filled with a thick sappy yellow ooze-like substance, in addition to them typically becomming reddened from his occassional scratching of both the inside and back portion of the ears.
This problem has just reared its ugly head about 6 months ago AND nothing to date has made any improvement whatsoever! And to make matters worse is the fact that his brother is always trying to lick his ears..which the vet says is normal due to the odor that the yeast gives off.

*Glyco-Flex 3:taken since a puppy for his hip-dysplasia;This stuff really works! He can now climb steps, run and jump--all of which were unbelievably difficult for him early on.
*Mometax-7.5 gm and 15gm Ear drops
*Lincocin-500mg tab
*Immunoregulin- .1 to .5cc
*Prednisone-5mg tab
*Chlor-Phen 4mg tab
*Baytril Otic-bottles
*Keflex(Cephalexin)-500mg tab
*Depo Medrol Injections
*had culture sent out-came back yeast and said to treat with baytril for 6-8weeks (which we have with no improvement)
*Baytril#68 tablets
*Hydrocortison Cream-Prescription strength
*Neosporin-to assist in healing the ears when scabbed
*Excel Ear Cleansing Liquid
*Oatmeal Bath; Medicated Bath given by vet for allergies
*Anti-fungal cream/powder

I am truly at my wits end as to what to do for these poor guys, they truly are treated like my children and it's tearing me apart seeing them like this for such a long period of time. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I have read online until spots appeared in front of my eyes and have read about Acidophilus being helpful in yeast and allergies and how Halo Herbal Ear Wash and Halo Derma Dream Healing Salve have helped in these types of situations and have just placed an order for the following:

YES, GOOD JOB - the Main thing that will help them is the PROBIOTIC of Acidophilus - I would give them 2 tsp per day for 10 days and then Down to the 1 tsp per day /VERY long term: I would give them this product for at least 4 months.  VERY safe /
YOUR kids must have Systemic YEAST related to Allergies.

The ear wash and salve looks good but I KNOW this is all new and have no info on the success of the Halo products.

Spaniel Ear Cleaner Recipe

Ingredients:

White vinegar
Powdered boric acid
Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol)
Betadine antiseptic (or generic equivalent)


Directions for mixing the solution together:

Pour 6 ounces of isopropyl alcohol in to a plastic applicator bottle.
Add 1/2 tablespoon of boric acid powder. Be careful not to get any
boric acid
on your skin or clothes. If you do, wash it off immediately.
Add 2 ounces of white vinegar.

Shake the solution extremely well, until the boric acid powder is
fully dissolved.
Once the powder is dissolved, add one teaspoon of the Betadine
antiseptic, and
shake it up some more. Be careful not to get any Betadine on your
skin or clothes.
If you do, wash it off immediately.

Squirt the solution inside your dog's ear until the ear canal is
completely full.
Massage the outside of the ear to help slosh the cleaning solution
around inside.
Hold the dog still for about a minute.

If you get any of the ear cleaning solution on your skin, wash it off
as soon as possible.

Be sure to shake the solution up really well before each and every
time you use it.
The boric acid has a tendency to settle at the bottom of the bottle.
Store at room temperature.

Use the cleaning solution daily until you start to see some
improvement.
Gradually cut back to once per week when you are happy with the
condition of the ear.
When the ear seems completely free of infection, you can go two weeks
between treatments.




Warning: Do not use this ear cleaning solution on dogs with ruptured
ear drums,
or on dogs with open sores or wounds in the ear area.
An ear exam by a veterinarian is recommended
prior to beginning treatment with this ear cleaning solution.
