Bulldog seizures

Question
My 2 year old Bulldog bitch started to froth at the mouth and shake her head gasping for breath, she then ran backwards and forwards and would empty her bowels. She did this six times within an hour each episode lasting for a minute or so.  I rushed her to the vet who said she had - had an allergic reaction to something she had eaten or licked as under her tongue was red and swollen. I was told later by a friend it is more likely she had a seizure and would possibly need to be on medication for the rest of her life.  Please can you tell me if this is possible or is the vets diagnosis more probable.  we are still awaiting the vets results.
Thank You

Answer
Hi Angela - Most seizures, the dogs are Not mobile on all 4 legs.  99% of the time a seizure is down and on his/her side.
Your vet's opinion sounds about right to me.

I will say that you should carry an EPI Pen around with you.  That way if this allergic reaction happens again you can give her the Epi Pen injection right away.  It is very easy to learn how to give this injection. Ask your vet about an EPI Pen...OK
