Overexcited humping behavior

Question
I rescued a 7-year old english bulldog about two months ago, who is a
wonderful pet. The one behavior he has that I am trying to correct is that
when he gets over-excited he jumps up on my leg and starts to hump. He
only does it to me, and it happens when we are doing things like playing in
the backyard (throwing a ball around for example), or anything that gets him
excited. When he does this he will back up and lunge at me to try to get on
my leg. I'll push him off and tell him "NO", but he often will do it a few times
before stopping for a little while, but eventually he goes back to it in about a
minute. He is mostly a lazy sleepy boy, and I want to enjoy the time when he
is feeling like playing, but this behavior makes it a hinderance. He is well
trained otherwise, and appears to respect me as pack-leader. I feed him
Royal Canin food. He is neutered.

Thank you!

Answer
Marc, You can teach an old dog new tricks...Not easy - If you want to work with a behavior expert on this... You can break him of this but I don't think it will be easy at all.  You will need someone to come to your home and work on HIS turf.

Sorry, I just can't be of more help on this.

Best Wishes
