Change food

Hi,

My EBD will be 1 yr old in about 2 weeks. when is the appropriate time to start gearing his diet towards adult food?
Also, is it possible for him to become allergic to his puppy food? The past few weeks he has been shedding and itching a lot. The vet said it was allergies.

Do you recommend or prefer any brand of dog food?

He can start adult food right away, gradually changing him over in the course of a week. Innova is a great food and a natural diet. This should take care of any food allergies issues if that's what's causing the shedding and itching.

Dogs will often itch and shed in the winter. It doesn't mean they're allergic to anything. It's just the cold weather and dry heat indoors.
