Keeping warm

Question
At what temperature should our bulldog wear a sweater/ sweatshirt, and at what temperature should she wear a coat? Does she need those dog shoes when it snows? It gets cold here and it snows a lot. I've seen some smaller dogs wearing coats already. It is now around 40 degrees fahrenheit.

It gets cold and snows a lot here in Vermont too, but I've never put a sweater, coat or boots on any of my dogs. At 40 degrees a Bulldog is perfectly comfortable. However, leaving the dog outside for extended periods in cold weather is dangerous and no amount of clothing is going to help the dog breathe easier.
