Question
Hi, My male bulldog is almost 2 years old and I have a question regarding his behavior.  First, he sometimes will jump and try to tackle (seems like) me when i am walking or turned away from him.  He is about 60 lbs so you could imagine the force he generates.  Second, after he urinates he will kick his feet backwards in a motion like a cat would do to cover his urine.  It is kinda weird cause i have never seen a dog do that.  Do these things sound normal or is this just his own personality?  And also, why does he keep on insisting that he is a lap dog!!!
Thanks.

Answer
If Corky isn't neutered, it would be a good time to do it. This jumping and tackling is a form of dominant behavior and should be discouraged.

The covering of urine is just something many dogs do, even females. It's a territorial thing and all perfectly normal.

He's a Bulldog and therefore, considers himself a lap dog.
