6 Month Old English Bulldog Weight

Question
My female english bulldog is almost 6 months old and she weighs 39 pounds. I know you get this question all the time, but I'm just wondering if she is on the right track weight-wise. Her father was between 55 and 60 pounds, and her mother was 55 pounds. I free feed her and she eats Royal Canin medium breed puppy food. She usually eats about three bowls a day (at breakfast, lunch, and dinner time). Does this sound OK to you? I don't want her to be overweight but I also want to make sure she's not underweight. Also, based on the weight of her parents should I expect her to be around 55 pounds when she's fully grown? Thanks so much!

Answer
When you look down on her, you should be able to see a distinct "waist" between her ribs and hips. This is excellent weight condition. It sounds to me like you're doing everything just right.  I would expect that she would be around 50-55 lbs. as an adult but it is very important to keep her on the trim side to ensure a long, healthy life.
