QuestionI have a 5 month old English Bulldog. When he walks he drags his front paws leading them to bleed at times. To avoid this I walk him in the grass only. When he walks on hard surfaces he tends to swing his front legs out in a arching motion to avoid dragging. He does not do this on carpet or grass. Should I be worried? What steps should I take if so?
AnswerHi: Well, this is an odd one for a 5 month old. I am wondering if he has had any nerve damage??? If not, this is a odd behavior that he has developed. I would first make sure there is no nerve damage. A visit to the VET is in order...
Also, here is a great site for booties. That way he won't bleed and can go for walks.. The Booties come up HIGH on his leg.
Check them out. And Good Luck
