my mischievious bulldog

Question
We have a bulldog who is now 8 months old we have tried everything from wire crate to confined space (but still open to see everyone) to leaving her free to roam with most doors to bedrooms, etc. shut, but all the while being consistent about feeding time and outside time intervals. Our bulldog thinks anywhere we put her is her bathroom especially if we leave the house. She only gets upset or barks that she has to go outside after she does it and only in her cage. And as far as when we leave she goes to the bathroom anywhere available and tears up anything she possibly can even down to wooden furniture. I would LOVE to let her be out but I need to get the problem under control before we can do so. HELP please!!!!
Thanks
FEELING CRUEL

Answer
This is called separation anxiety and has nothing to do with house training at all.  Apparently this puppy has been left alone a good deal of the time.

You'll have to stick to crating her when you're not around. The answer is being available more often and making her feel secure.
