QUESTION: Hi,
 I have and english bulldog that is 4 years old. We are having problems with him having diarrhea. He has diarrhea all the time, we have taken him to the vet they ran test and said he is fine they gave us some medicine to give him to harden his stool it is called Pecmycin. There is times where he will have solid stool but most of the time it is like a thick diarrhea. He especially gets it when we go to my moms house, everytime we go, right when he gets there he goes out and goes potty, so I thought it might be the drive but when we come home later he doesn't go. We feed him rice and chicken and ground beef for dinner and he has dry food to eat through out the day. He does not act like anything is wrong he is very active and still has his appetite, I was just wondering if there is anything else I should try.

QUESTION: Hi,
 I had another question about my 4 year old english bulldog. I took him to the vet today for an ear infection and the vet told me his ear cartliage was calcified, he said that happens from chronic ear infections. But, my dog has not had chronic ear infections and I was just at the vet with him last month and they said everything was fine. My question is that I tried looking it up on the internet and I can not find anything about calcified ear cartilage, the vet is trying him on some ear drops and gave amoxicilin for ear infections, but he said if this does not work he will need surgery that will cost about $5000. So if you have heard of this or know anything about please let me know I am trying to do research.

Abby - I would get a second opinion on this!  Also, please put your boy on the NuVET wafers - unless you already did...NuVET will help to prevent future infections and reduces the inflammation in the ears.

As far as what the vet mentioned.... I am sure you have a few options ....
