Question
I have a 4 year old EBD and last year discovered from him scooting on his butt, that he has a tail hole pocket.  Tried lots of different things that the vet prescribed, but what seems to keep it under control is just cleaning it out everyday with a baby wipe. Any other suggestions?

Answer
The only sure way to end this is to have the dog's tail amputated. Your vet has probably already given you that scenario. If doing what you're doing is keeping it under control, keep at it. If the tail gets absessed, it's next to impossible to cure it and then amputation is a necessity not an option.
