elongated pallet

Question
I have a 1 year old Boston Bolldog. She has had some attacks with breathing. I took her to the vet and he said she had an elongated pallet. Is this serious and do you feel the laser surgery that I have read about is the way to go. I know you do not give medical advice.I would like to research the surgery and can not find a website to do so. Can you help  Thank You. Sherree

It can be serious but often managable. However, if you have a vet who is experienced with the pallet resectioning procedure, it's worth having it done. Your dog will thank you.

I don't know of any web sites that explain the procedure, but I do know that it's quite safe if done by someone with lots of experience.
