Question
Hello I have a 7 month old american bulldog. I had emailed you over a month ago about his biting.  I am so happy to say that he has improved and is doing better with the biting.  My question is that when you pet him he always walks forward so that his back side ends up being pet and if you pet him in the front he will just circle around again for you to pet him on the very back near his tail.  I usually then end up massaging the back of his legs by rubbing them in circular motions.  Whenever you pet him he either turns his head and watches your hand or looks forward and his ears will be back.  I am so curious to know what this behavior might mean.  As this is what he does everytime you pet him.

Thank you,
Nicole

Answer
He's simply showing you where he likes the attention. It must be a great massage! The ears back is generally a relaxed expression, unless it's accompanied by a growl :o)

I'm glad to hear he's gotten better in the biting department and keep up the good work.
