when to expect first heat in american bulldog

We our the proud parent of an eight month old american bulldog puppy and we were wandering when to expect her first heat.

Answer
Often it depends upon whether or not you live in an area where the seasons bring cooler or warmer weather. Usually dogs will come in season in the early summer or early winter.

I expect that your dog may come in season anytime but don't be concerned if it's another few months.
