Chew toys

Question
Our 17-month old English bulldog, Buster, absolutely loves to chew.  One of our bulldog books recommended Nylabone Roarhides, so we ordered a half dozen of them online (the stores near us didn't have them). From the books, I got the impression that it would take days if not weeks for the dog to chew one of these up, but it takes Buster only 7 minutes.
We have a Kong, one of those you can stick a biscuit into, which he likes, but usually only when there is a biscuit in it.  He loves squeaky toys but his jaws are so strong that he breaks the squeaker in only a few hours or sometimes just minutes.  He likes pillows too, but hesitate on getting him one to chew on, 'cuz we're afraid that this will continue his fascination with OUR pillows (we gotta keep ours out of his reach).
We have other heavy duty Nylabone chew things, but he gets bored with them pretty quickly.
Any recommendations on toys and other chew items we might get him.
Thanks.

Answer
Ask the butcher at your grocery store to save some knuckle bones for you. Boil them for about 10 minutes and let them cool. He'll love them and it will take him a good long time to destroy them. Plus, they're much cheaper than store bought toys.  He gets bored because he can't "kill" whatever it is he's chewing. It's a Bulldog thing.

The beef bone is only a good idea if he's the only dog in residence.  Otherwise, you may have a fight on your hands.
