This is a relative question. A puppy's weight depends on many factors; the size of the parents, the number of puppies in the litter, the quality of food that it eats and whether or not it is feed at appropriate intervals.

If your puppy appears to be in good weight, no ribs showing but a little bit of a waist, that's fine. It's always good to have a stool sample checked to rule out the presence of any parasites also.
