QuestionMy bulldog is almost 5 mos. old and I was told she has an elongated soft palate by the vet and that I should consider surgery and that surgery should be done by 5 mos. My question is could she outgrow this and if not is it better to fix now or when she is an adult. She gets a little flemmy but has had no problems breathing and she is VERY active!
AnswerHi Nikki - Well, she can have troubles as she grows... Depends on how bad her situation is. Also, there are many bullies with this problem and they have not had the surgery.
I would get a second opinion on the surgery needs? It can't hurt to ask someone else about this.
THIS IS A GREAT LINK ON THIS PROBLEM---
